This notice explains what personal data Triptic collects, why, and how it is protected. It applies to buyers, sellers and garage accounts.
What we collect
Account details (email, display name, password), contact details (mobile number, WhatsApp number), location (country, governorate, city/area), and — where you submit them — identity and eligibility documents (passport, national ID, residency permit or card) and, for garages, business registration documents.
Why we collect it
To operate your account, to verify buyer eligibility and seller identity as required by the trip-ticket transfer process, to connect verified buyers with sellers, to moderate listings, and to meet legal and security obligations.
How documents are protected
Identity and business documents are stored in a private, access-controlled location, never on a public URL. Only you and Triptic staff reviewing your submission can access them, through a signed link that expires in 15 minutes or less. Every access is logged.
Contact details
Your phone number and WhatsApp number are shown only to buyers who have verified their eligibility and have revealed your listing's contact details. Each reveal is logged. Guests and unverified buyers never see this information.
How long we keep data
Verification documents are retained for 24 months after your verification's validity ends or your submission is decided, then permanently deleted. Listing images are retained while your listing stays public, plus a short grace period. Audit records are kept indefinitely for accountability.
Where your data is stored
Triptic's database, file storage and application servers all run in Frankfurt, Germany, within the European Union. This means identity and eligibility documents, contact details and IP logs leave Egypt and are held under EU data-protection standards for as long as this notice's retention periods apply.
Your choices
You can update your profile at any time. You can request account deletion, which anonymises your personal data while retaining records needed for audit and legal purposes.
